Bringing Your Golf Scores To Life Part 7

"Have Fun! - Always overlooked but essential."

What good is it go to the golf course, drag your clubs all over the place, stress out about bad shots and a final 15 over par? Did you have fun? Was it worth the time, effort, money?

The key to golf, no matter what your level of skill is, is to have fun playing it? That’s why I started whacking golf balls. You?

If you can practice the four tips already covered you will definitely have fun. Because you’ll be more relaxed, you’ll be patiently sizing up each situation and you’ll have better scores because you are playing each new stroke according to your strengths.

Lowering your golf score is directly related to the amount of fun you put into it.

It’s a matter of looking at each different hole, each new lie, each new situation with an excitement and joy over the game. Not whether or not you’re going to make par.

I promise that if you put in the right amount of fun, the score will handle itself.

Let’s go over some quick points to help you. A sort of quick reference table.

  1. Relax. Don’t freak out over a mistake or bad shot. You’ll make it up on the next hole or later in the round.

  2. Remain positive. Look for positives in every situation.

  3. Stay patient. Don’t try to make up for bad shots when they happen. This will only cost you extra shots.

  4. Visualize and imagine the shot you’re about to take. See the swing, watch the ball fly through the air, picture it land where you want it.

  5. Play the game according to your strong points. Don’t put yourself into situations where the probability of a mistake is greatest.

  6. Have Fun! Don’t get discouraged over a bad drive or a missed putt. You’ll get it. Even the pros have bad rounds.

Section II "Course Managment!"

Probably one of the most important tips you'll ever hear on golf.

The next section is about how to manage the course you're playing on for much lower scores and perceived golfing ability. This plays right into the total package of what we already went over.

By playing well at your golf course you will be able to relax and be more patient.

You'll be able to use visualization techniques to improve your practicing and round play.

You'll also be using a great deal of your strengths and have a lot more fun at any and every course you're at.
